Job Prep Ⅱ

(Jae-seung)
Things that I didn’t know in Job Prep ⅡI learned job interview skills from Darren. I realized that there were a lot of difference between interview in Korea and Western culture. Also there were some tips that I thought ‘It’s trivial.’ At first I will tell you some differences between Western & Korea. The interviewee in Korea is really conservative and they think their prestige in lower than interviewer. I thought it’s natural, but in Western, Confidence & Personal profession is far more significant. For instance, Western people do not bow. I was really surprised. They just shake their hand. Firmly, with proud smile. Some virtue that I thought modesty does not exist. Secondly, Appearance was pretty critical point in interview. The appearance what I’m talking includes fashion, hair, makeup, expression, etc. Darren said ‘Though personal character is really important in western interview but westerner prefer conservative dressing.’ So, he recommended me gray of dark navy suit except black because it black suit brought an image of funeral. Also, short and neat hair is most popular style to interviewers and Darren emphasized the importance of nail cleaning which can make unpleasant impression. In addition in women’s case makeup is really important. Too much powder or stink perfume one of most easy point to commit. As a future global leader, I learned lots of information about interview. I’m sure that someday, this Job Prep course will be a great help.

I surveyed my classmates’ feeling when they did interview with Darren.
I did interview at first in my class D. So I was nervous and worried. But I did my best, and got a satisfactory score. My mistake was not preparing a question. In addition, I didn't do eye contact well. But I'll be likely to do better interview in the next time because of that interview.
Ji-eun’s impressive question is ‘why should we hire you?’. And she answered ‘Because I’m positive person,,,’.
Hye-seong said that not to remember appropriate vocabulary is sorry.
Hee-yeon’s sorry thing is no eye contact.
Ji-man’s regretful thing is just saying “Okay, bye.”
Mi-so said the thing she did well was Eye contact.
Byung-woo’s remorseful thing is no confidence and preparation
Jae-hyun’s repentant thing is no handshake.
An-na shook hands and introduced well.
Ka-young had no confidence and Eye contact.
Jae-seung had a good eye contact.
Su-jin was passionate.

Several tips on preparing for a job interview After you sent cover letter and resume, you need to have a job interview. In this class, we learned a lot about the job interview skills. It is absolutely critical to be fully prepared before the interview. if you do not want to get stuck in the interview. First of all, you have to do your homework before you go to the interview. Research the company beforehand. Darren (teacher) emphasized the importance of the preparation and research because we don’t know what they are going to ask. And the more you are prepared, the more likely you are to have confidence. Second, you have to know where you are going.. cause it is very important to get the interview place on time. If you are late, you are going to give them a bad image. Hopefully, get there earlier than you are suppose to be. So that you are not going to be nervous. Third, conduct a mock interview with another person. Prepare answers to common questions that the interviewer is likely to ask. Forth, secure your references. Find at least 3 people- former supervisor, colleagues, or instructors. Be sure that the the references have to speak highly or you

My best 3 thing in our camp~^0^

Among my camp activities,,,
My favorite thing is using the gym. For instance, playing badminton, table tennis, Basketball, and billiard are very fun. Using the sporting equipments is also interesting. Frankly speaking, I gained weight of about 6 kilograms for just 2 months. Because after I entered my university, I relaxed and relieved stress by eating. So I recently have worked out. Then I came here and I’m glad to meet the sports facilities. I realized that not only exercising alone, but also exercising together is terrific.

And the second thing I liked was drama class with Kelly. It started when our classmates met one another at first. Then I felt awkward and I was shy. But with this activity, I got to know our classmates and could get along with them. In addition, Kelly made us laugh.

The last thing I was interested in was baking activity. Before, I have never made cookies on my own. So it was memorable experience in my life. Unfortunately, the taste of cookies didn’t suit my taste. But the cookies’ smell was sweet and I gave them to Patrick.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, 2010

I love Harry Potter Series. Then I read all of the the books to 7 version. Also I have watched all of the movies to 6 version. Unlike before series, the 7 version is divided into 2 movies. One movie will be released on 19th, November. The other movie is scheduled to release on 15th, June. So I'm expecting it very much. Last year, even if I was busy high school junior, I went to the theater to see the 6 version. Considering again, it was possible because I like Harry Potter soo000 much! Anyway, I want to view this movie soon~!>_<

Introduce me~/(^0^)/

Hi. I'm Yun-kyung Chu.

I'm 20 years old and I'm a freshman in Kyungwon University.
I'm majoring in nursing and I'll be a nurse after about 3 years.

My dream is to be a nurse in a popular hospital like Samsung Medical Center or Asan Medical Center. To achieve my goal, I should get good grades and be good at English. To study English hard, I applied to the Gacheon Glober Leader English Immersion Camp and finally came to here.

One of the next short-term purpose is to be selected as Gacheon Glober Leader Language Study Abroad student. So I want to raise my TOEIC score much more. Another aim is to gain a qualification of health teacher. It only qualifies the students of my department who are within upper 10%.

In addition, I'd like to learn Japanese and Chinese deeply. Also I'll obtain a Microsoft Office Specialist certificate, the left thing I haven't got. Then I'll go abroad to do medical volunteer work to the developing countries. And I'm planning to collect money by part-time work for Europe trip.

My life will develop with my infinite inner potential. This affords interest in life to me.
